Stockholm, December 16 2011. SmartLynx Airlines is an airline owned by Iceland Air. SmartLynx Airlines has bought Inflight Service’s airline retail concept during the winter 2011-2012. During this time, Smartlynx will operate Copenhagen-Goa. The startup process has taken less than one week and the first flight left Kastrup Airport the 15th of December. | Inflight Service appoints new CEO | |
Stockholm, March 16 2011. Inflight Service has appointed Björn Ulfberg as new Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect. Mr Ulfberg has significant experience in sales, marketing and general management from various international consumer and retail oriented organisations, including Nokia, Duni, Findus, Gillette and Procter & Gamble. “I am excited to join Inflight Service to, together with the rest of the management and employees, continue the development and growth of the company. I am also excited to have the opportunity to utilise my experiences from FMCG and retailing within the Travel Retail industry.” says Mr Ulfberg. | Inflight takes over Travel Retail at Stockholm Skavsta Airport | |
Stockholm, 1 March 2010. Following a recently concluded bid process, Stockholm Skavsta Airport’s has awarded Inflight Service Europe the contract for management and operations of the airport’s airside travel retail shop, “Buy & Fly”. The contract will be effective as of 1 May 2010. The shop will undergo complete redesign and refurbishing in conjunction with the change of management. - In view of our long-standing cooperation with SSA that dates back to 1995, we are of course very pleased to have been entrusted with the full responsibility for the shop operation, comments Peter Candell, Director Business Development at Inflight Service. We look forward to taking an active part in increasing the passenger service level by providing an enhanced product offer and an improved overall shopping environment. The planning for the creation of a new and better shop is already in progress, concludes Peter Candell. - We are very pleased to have finalised this process, says Joakim Lindholm, Stockholm Skavsta Deputy CEO.
